CatesLab provides testing services for homeowners. We can test materials from your home for asbestos and/or mold.
We would be glad to be your testing laboratory and ask that you please follow the sampling guidelines below for submitting samples for testing.
Asbestos Sampling

Fill out Homeowners Chain of Custody

Sample size of material to be tested should be 1-2 square inches (include mastic/adhesive w/flooring)

Use small freezer Ziploc bags (air tight) for each sample or material type (each sample in separate bag labeled w/sharpie on bag) please note: do NOT put Chain of Custody inside of a bag that contains a sample to be tested

Ship samples in box if possible (address below)

Include payment with Chain of Custody (call us if you would rather pay by credit card over the phone)
Mold Sampling

Fill out Homeowners Chain of Custody

Sample size of material to be tested should be 2-4 square inches (take separate samples for mold growth that appears different in color & bag each sample separately)

Use small freezer Ziploc bags (air tight) for each sample or material type (each sample in separate bag labeled w/sharpie on bag) please note: do NOT put Chain of Custody inside of a bag that contains a sample to be tested
